Transparent climate action is vital for tracking progress on national climate plans and building trust under the Paris Agreement. Enhanced collaboration among international partners, led by the ETF Group of Friends, strengthens support for developing countries preparing their Biennial Transparency Reports and boosts coherent, effective transparency efforts.

The World Meteorological Organization confirmed that 2025 was among the three warmest years on record, with a global average temperature about 1.44 °C above the 1850-1900 baseline. The past 11 years are the warmest on record, and warming continues despite La Niña, highlighting ongoing climate change impacts.
